Ganderbal, Dec 09 (KNO): The segregation plant at Chenner Kangan has been lying defunct for the past two years, leaving the local residents to lurch at large. Despite the significant funds spent on the plant's construction, it has failed to operate as intended, causing numerous issues for the community, the locals told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO). One of the primary concerns according to them is the presence of a large number of stray dogs at the facility, which is adding to the health and safety risks in the area. Mohammad Iqbal, a local resident said, “The government has spent huge money on this plant, but it has been non-functional for years together. Now, stray dogs are everywhere, and it has become a safety hazard for all of us.” The locals have appealed the concerned officials to look into the matter and make the facility functional at an earliest—(KNO)
